About me

I am a freelance surface designer, based in Pimlico, London. I offer a range of skills in drawing, pattern making and hand printing as well as digital techniques. My designs are typically based on observational drawings, from which I create patterns digitally using a mix of Adobe Creative Cloud applications. I then develop design collections employing screen printing processes – playing with colour, scale, material and layering until a pleasing harmony is achieved. I have demonstrable research and mood board design skills, and in-depth experience of delivering work to a tight brief on time and on budget.

I studied textile design on the foundation course at Central St Martin’s (University of the Arts, London) in 2011/12. I was accepted on the degree course in surface design at London College of Communication (also part of the University of the Arts) in 2012. During my studies, I gained valuable experience through working with several of London’s top designers and studios, including the Colorfield Studio, Caroline Gardner, EAST clothing company, Linda Florence, Rob Ryan and Starch Green. Having graduated with a First Class Honours degree from LCC in summer 2015, I have delivered social media, marketing/PR, photo shoots, customer liaison, research, trade show, and other services to various companies as a freelance. I have also worked on freelance assignments as a screen printing assistant to Pauline Caulfield at her Primrose Hill Studios and with Alidad Interior Design in Chelsea.

I welcome creative freelance assignments that utilise my skills. Click here to get in touch.
